 Sara Harman

While Avea Solutions is no longer a billing company, we still maintain a core team to both assist some of our older clients and to stay on top of industry trends. Sara is an incredibly valuable member of this R & D team. Take it away, Sara!

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I'm most passionate about learning new skills. On a personal level, my greatest passions are aviation and cute raccoon videos.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

There's only one thing I would do without pay, and that is fly. Pay or not, as long as I was in the air, I would be happy.

What are you surprisingly good at (work or personal)?

I am surprisingly good at arguing the case for why my boyfriend should be the one to make dinner and I should never cook.

Over the last several weeks, the thoughts of the entire Avea family have been with our Texas and Florida-based clients and vendors affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Many of our partners in these states were forced to evacuate their offices and homes, and have only just begun to assess the damage resulting from the storms.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

In my professional life, I'm most passionate about finding creative solutions and building efficiencies within routine tasks. In my personal life, it’s Batman.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

I would love to be a mentor. I've had several mentors over the years that have been very instrumental in my success, and I'd like to do the same for others.

What are you surprisingly good at (work or personal)?

I'm surprisingly good at life hacks. I often find clever ways to solve day-to-day problems. I think I could give MacGyver a run for his money. I just need a paperclip and some bubblegum.

What's the best indication you're good at what you do?

The best indication is hearing the enthusiasm and relief from our clients when I help them solve an issue or problem.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

I am personally passionate about making a positive impact on the community at large and I try to do this by keeping up with current events and involving myself in groups that share the same hobbies. Working at Avea has allowed me to make an impact on the addiction recovery and behavioral health communities by essentially making treatment more accessible for the average person. I have also started impacting the Avea community by getting involved in company culture and helping organize our social events.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

Even though I’ve never considered myself very good at crafts or decorating, I have taken it upon myself to be the point person on decorating the office for specific seasons and holidays. Seeing things hanging from the ceiling or on the walls gets me excited and gives me a sense of accomplishment that I’m making this office a more positive place.

What are you surprisingly good at (work or personal)?

I am a social dancer, so I’m good at a lot of partner dances, or at the very least, very good at learning them. My favorites are probably blues, swing and waltz, but I love being able to fuse everything together.
