About Avea

Avea Solutions provides addiction treatment, substance abuse and eating disorder treatment centers with revenue cycle management software that helps their teams capture more revenue with less work. Designed specifically for the needs of behavioral health treatment facilities, we understand how billing works for addiction treatment because that’s where we started.

Recognizing that most billing software available to treatment centers is intended for traditional medical providers and does not meet the billing requirements for Behavioral Health, we originally developed the software for running our multi-facility billing and collections team to improve our own processes and efficiency to ensure we were maximizing our revenue. We built the intelligence of critical behavioral health processes, workflows and payer knowledge into our software, and now help over 600 treatment centers bill and collect hundreds of millions in revenue annually.

We are proud to do our part in supporting treatment facilities for the life saving work they do. Our mission is to help them get paid fully and quickly for the services they provide by bringing them full visibility into their financial operations, giving their teams the tools they need to correctly bill and collect efficiently, and a sense of control over their business so they can spend more time with their patients – and less managing their claims and chasing payments.

Ben Dittman - CEO Avea

Ben Dittman


Ben is the co-founder and CEO of Avea. He leads our team with an unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge tools to healthcare providers that strike the perfect balance of heuristics and optimal solutions.

Before founding Avea, Ben spent 15+ years in banking, system design, and consulting.

In his free time, Ben loves to explore Portland’s food scene, snap photos, and indulge in his passion for cool gadgets.

Dean Fitch

Dean Fitch, MS, LMFT

Director of Business Development

Dean shepherds the most precious aspect of Avea: our relationship with our clients and partners. He is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who brings decades of clinical experience to our team. A veteran of the behavioral health industry, Dean previously owned and operated an intensive outpatient treatment center, worked extensively in private practice, and served as the Clinical Director of a large residential treatment center in Texas. Dean understands the unique challenges that face institutional healthcare providers and truly loves connecting them with solutions to attain unprecedented success.

Dean is as affable a fellow as you’ll ever meet. Outside of work, he enjoys quality time with family and friends, reading the literary greats, and rocking out to Bruce Springsteen.

Jessica Chase

VP of Customer Experience

Jessica is a customer experience leader who helps technology companies bring the voice of the customer to the forefront of business strategy. Before joining the Avea team, Jessica excelled in leading support and professional services teams at fin-tech and ERP software companies in the Portland metro area. She holds a bachelor of social science degree from Portland State University.

Outside of work, Jessica is the mother of three children, with whom she loves exploring their near-acre lot. She enjoys reading cookbooks and sampling all kinds of food—she is a huge Julia Child fan (bon appetit)! Jessica cherishes time spent laughing, eating, and hanging out with her (very large) extended family.
