Avea Solutions is proud to host a three-part Introduction to Machine Learning series, organized by Portland Women In Technology (PDXWIT).
Organized in conjunction with Avea’s non-profit AveaCares program and the Portland Data Science Group, these sessions aim to provide educational resources for those interested in machine learning at all levels, and are free and open to the public. The first installment was held Monday, August 14th at Avea Solutions’ headquarters in the Framework building, located at 160 NE 6TH Ave, and drew 83 attendees.“At Avea, we strive to be responsible stewards of the tech industry here in Portland, which is why we started the AveaCares program,” said Kaitlyn McCraw, AveaCares chairperson. “This three-part seminar is perfect for Avea, as we’re working to build out predictive analytics for our product, AveaOffice. As we do so, we’re looking to make connections with others who are also working in machine learning in Portland, and working to create greater awareness of machine learning in general.”
Andrew Ferlitsch and Ernest Bonat, Ph.D from the Portland Data Science Group are the featured speakers for all three events. The next two sessions will be held Thursday, September 28th and Wednesday, October 18th. To register, visit pdxwit.org.
